‘Through the Fire’ is a truly international collaboration, bringing together contributors from North America, Europe and Africa. All members of the team share a longstanding zeal and commitment to the causes supported by the documentary and associated campaign.
Director: Eunice Lau
Eunice is an award-winning journalist turned filmmaker based in New York. Her most recent works include a 13-episode comedy-drama, and a short film Artificial Incarnation which was a semi-finalist at the Focus Forward film competition. Her documentary The Trouble with Waiting on Cambodia’s civil war won the Grand Jury prize at the Pusan Film Festival in 2008 and her film Hero on the Thai political conflict was nominated for Best Documentary and Best Editing at the Watersprite Film Festival in 2012. She is currently working on two screenplays.
Producer & Photographer: Arthur Nazaryan
Arthur taught himself photography while studying philosophy at the University of Stony Brook. His work has appeared in the New York Times, BBC, Christian Science Monitor, Common Language Project, and Huffington Post, for whom he also maintains a photo blog.

Sarah is a Cambridge University graduate and independent producer with a longstanding zeal for international development. As a filmmaker, she has a special interest in documentaries as a means for encouraging cross-cultural and inter-generational understanding. She is a founding member of Delphin Films, the Cambridge Media and Film Academy and Watersprite Film Festival, now in its fourth year and supported by BAFTA.
Editor: George Carrara
George Carrara is a video editor and motion graphics artist for an international broadcaster. He is a School of Visual Arts graduate and has 10 years of Film/TV production experience. He has produced, directed, written, edited, and animated content that has been broadcast on national television and shown in film festivals.
Composer: Alexander Bornstein
Alexander Bornstein is a composer based in Los Angeles. His music has been heard on television, independent feature films, and concert halls around the U.S. Alexander has worked at major music studios including Remote Control Productions and Sonic Fuel Studios on Revolution (NBC) and the upcoming film Identity Thief (Universal Studios). He is a graduate of New York University’s music composition program.
Sound re-recording mixer: David Grinbaum
David Grinbaum is a sound editor, music editor and composer based in New York. He has a Masters in Computer Science from one of the top-tier French IT engineering schools (ESIEA) and is finishing up his second Masters in Music Technology, with a focus on audio post-production and film scoring at NYU. Recent films include Aissa’s Story (2013), Never Away (2013) and Neon Heartache (2013).
Web developer: Kenichi Udagawa
Kenichi is a Cambridge University graduate and technician of varying trades – post-production and web development being the main of these. He is a founding member of Tripos Productions and is currently the Editor and Web Developer for the organisation.
